STC Officers, 2009-2010

Katie Marburger, President

Although I’m technically the President of STC this year, my reign will end when I graduate in December. This is my third year as an STC officer and I’m excited about encouraging TPC underclassmen to get involved in STC, just as the upperclassmen did for me when I became a TPC major. Although I enjoy being a part of STC, I love Asia more and will hopefully be teaching English in China or Japan by this time next year. I hope to use the skills I learned in TPC for future ministry in Asia.

Abby Keyser, Vice-President

I am a junior student from Haverhill, MA. Serving as vice president for Cedarville’s student chapter of STC, I am excited to see where this year will take the org. I love my family and very much enjoy spending time with my 3 sisters, parents, and cat named Toby. My hobbies are running at night, reading novels, and drinking lemon tea. I am involved with a ministry called Stars for middle school girls. Alongside TPC, I am also pursuing a minor in Graphic Design. After I graduate, I want to pursue a career in Technical Communication in the Boston area.

Kristen Recupero, Secretary

Hey there! To sum myself up in just a few words, let me say that I am incredibly awkward, giggly, slightly scatterbrained, and ungraceful; however, I do possess a few admirable traits, such as being hard-working, organized, indescribably beautiful (and definitely exaggerative), and I even like to make up my own words. Unfortunately, I have a penchant for academic pain and will be graduating with a double-major in both English and TPC, so if anyone wants to talk about how that would be possible, I’m the person to talk to! Other than the aforementioned characteristics, I also deeply enjoy warm blankets, nutella, traveling around Europe, learning new things, and talking to you! So meet me sometime. :)

Ben Roscup, Webmaster

Hello! I am a senior from New York and came to Cedarville after studying at Word of Life Bible Institute. I enjoy reading, writing, photography, garage-saling, coffee/tea, and anything outdoors such as biking, fishing, and camping. Here are 10 things most folks don’t know about me: 1. I don’t drink milk from styrofoam cups. 2. I shower while wearing flip flops. 3. Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite movies (Even though it’s right up there... c’mon people!) 4. I can hit 13 out of 15 clay pigeons with a shotgun. 5. I’ve been skydiving, and loved it. 6. I sang in my highschool/church choirs. 7. I can’t eat candy without opening all the seams of the wrapper first. 8. I get kind of upset when opening a dvd, if I can’t get all the glue from the celophane/stickers off. 9. I only wear gray socks. 10. I can operate a forklift. I will be serving as the STC Webmaster this year.

Shea Hansen, Hospitality Coordinator

I am a junior from Elkhart, Indiana and will be serving as this year’s STC Hospitality Coordinator. I enjoyed my summer at Granger Community Church where I worked as an intern. In my free time, I like spending time with my family and friends, playing volleyball, and traveling. I will be graduating in December of 2010 and am looking forward to pursuing a career as a technical writer.

Genelle Schedlbauer, Newsletter Editor

I am a senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan who loves to learn, but I am very much looking forward to being done with college! My favorite part of TPC over the years has been the people, and as you can tell, they’re a lively bunch! My favorite thing to do is go for a long run with some good jams on my iPod and I also thoroughly enjoy scrapbooking. I love the fall season and bundling up with a good cup of hot chocolate. I hope to end up as a technical writer in the medical/healthcare industry or as an instuctional designer for elementary level curriculum.
